So the little obsessive in me has been looking around the net for 'stuff' about 605s to link to on my page - in other words, I've been too lazy to really get around to making the page so i've been googling in the guise of research :). So anyhows, I find on a little picture search, this new photo that wasn't there before:http://www.tamabi.ac.jp/mc/collect/take02/q605.htm I peeped a bit further along and... whoa! "Club 475" is a new link I hadn't seen before! Gotta love them Japanese and their obviously obvious names for things. I'm going to name my page "Club for Quadra 605 Obsession". No, really! Anyhows - Club475 is here: http://club.pep.ne.jp/~ogi2605/club475.html It's all in Japanese of course, but http://babelfish.altavista.com/ is doing a better & better job of translating all the time. One of the links is to this neat little 605... http://www19.pos.to/~cyberdogg3/melco.html 15Gb Quantum fireball and a scsi memorycardofsometype reader in place of the floppy drive. Toocute!. There's some more hunting around for links to be done... so off I go dana (no, this post wasn't meant to mean anything more than "yes I'm still obsessed with the flat, feetsed beasties) |

I'm in the process of turning my LC 475 into a Nintendo-Quadra-Server!!! Take a gander at my thread in the hacks forum (when it exists, anyway) for details...666th poster and 666th thread-creator Mod of the Mac II series Forums Total 68K Macs liberated: 7 I Have No Legs! |

So I look around at some more info and find the 605s put out/use (whatever the correct usage is :) about 102 British Thermal Units/hour. That's less than a lot of powerbooks. neat!dana (950s do a bit over 1000)

I'm starting to really love LC 475/Q 605's, too. They're just so darn hackable thanks to very simplistic, tiny Mobo!!!666th poster and 666th thread-creator Mod of the Mac II series Forums Total 68K Macs liberated: 7 I Have No Legs! |

I only have one real complaint, and that's that no ethernet came onboard. Another 72pin ram slot would have helped a great deal for flexibility... but then, where would it have all fitted :) dana
