PB160, "Piep" (pronounced like "Peep" in english), System 7.5
- Liberated last year for 100 guilders, this is my girlfriend's laptop. She plans to write a novel on it...
Batteries are bad, one works for 15 minutes, other dies within a minute. Complete with external monitor adapter, and plaintalk mic, the color of the PB. The monitor is getting woozy, with horizontal and vertical lines, and needs much fidgeting to get to display the desktop.

PB180 8/120, "Toet" (pronounced like "toot" in english), System 7.6
- Liberated a few months ago for 50 euros, this is the workhorse where I will be writing my first book on (yeah, like that would ever happen... ;-))
Battery defunct, contacts are shielded off with tape by previous owner who used it to control a cd-burner over a network.

Plus 2/20 (with Apple sc20 external hd)
- liberated for free from a friend of mine who switched to PC.

Plus 2/40 (with unbranded external hd and daynalink scsi-to-ethernet adapter)
- got this one from my work for 25 guilders. Is not very good any more, won't start at times. I'd like to put it on the internet as a webserver, to prove it can be done; but my provider uses DHCP, and I don't think system 7 can handle that. I haven't figured it out yet anyway.0

SE 4/20, system 6.0.8
- Another Mac, previously of my parents. If I remember correctly, this was my very first Mac and I think I got it somewhere around 1994. I had a Plus ED in my flat earlier, around 1992-1993, but that was a borrowed one. The ED is no longer mine, I think it went to a friend.

Classic 4/40, system 7.0 Dutch
- This one was my parents' first brand new computer. But it's soooo sloow, even at that time. It now thinks it's January 1st 1904.

SE/30 8/80, system 7.5.5 US
- The computer that replaced the classic. What a difference. This one suffers from a nervous screen sometimes, but is still used occasionally to write stuff on.

SE/30 8/1GB, system 7.5.5 US
- this one's got a PDS ethernetcard (which I didn't get the damn thing to recognize yet) malfunctioning screen AND non-functional FD :-( The screen is resizing at random. It had a 80mb hd wich didn't work, so I replaced it with a 1GB SCSI drive. It boots way slow now.

IIsi 5/40, system 7.5.3 US
- bought in '96 or so as a backup system. Never used much.

IIcx 8/40, system 7.0.1, two videocards, ethernetcard
- bought this one from my work for 20 euros. It's specially equipped for driving a laserdiscplayer with a monitor from a SuperCard database on the Mac.

IIx 8/40+80, system 7.5.3
- the Mac that successed the SE/30. Crippled with all kinds of problems with the PRAM battery and SCSI IDs, and the lack of my knowledge and efforts to help it. Won't boot anymore.

LCII 8/80, system 7.5
- barebones system, bought on an Apple club day for 5 euros.

LCII 6/80, system 7.0.1 Dutch
- bought for 5 euros on a flea market. It even has Adobe Illustrator 5.0 and Quark Xpress 3.11, plus manuals! Case is very yellow, and the battery is not so good anymore. The system always boots in b/w, even though I selected colors before.

Performa 460 5/160, system 7.5.3 Dutch
- bought for 10 euros on an Apple club day. Chock full of games and other software, like netscape 2. Didn't look at it much yet...

Quadra 660AV 40/220, system 7.5.3 US
- Got this one last year for free, for helping its owner to transfer its data to a PC. It's got a caddy cd-player, which when loaded with a cdrom causes the machine NOT to boot at all. Probably a wrong scsi-id.

LC630 8/250, system 7.5 US
- another backup system from my parents. It's now my girlfriend's Mac. Not that she uses it: she keeps computing on her Pentium 233, eventhough it shows her more and more blue screens. sigh.

Duo 280c (bought in non-working state for $25) 12/240/apple express modem. Reset the power manager and it works great, though it needs a new batery. Believe it or not, this $25 Duo has a perfect, no bad pixel screen. :-)

Maxwell is a slim girl who enjoys basking in the fresh arora of AppleTalk Serial connections. She has room for a Nu friend, but her friend has to be willing to "bend over sideways" for her.

She isn't that fast anymore, but she is still loved by all her family. She's the cute little sister who never grew up. She also enjoys eating Pizza from time to time and likes doing prank calls with her phone. Her door chime is the richest of them all, and she can hold 160 marbles jiggle them from 0 to 1 over and over. She also can float her integers, and has much fun doing this. She also tends to lie on a aprox. 10 degree angle.
