I've been working on a wearable mac for a while now... It's made from a PowerBook 520c. I have most of the parts to begin the assembly process, but my major difficulty now is finding a small and cheap LCD display to go with this thing, any ideas? Is there speech recognition software available for 68k that works well?

No, there's no speech recognition for any non-AV 68k macs. There are small LCD displays, but I don't know where you'd get one or how expensive they'd be.

On the LCD's check eBay dirt cheap for a black and white, colors are a little more.

Ah, I forgot about PowerSecretary, it works with PB 500s, but apparently is pretty bad recognition.

Well, if it has bad speech recognition, should I just get a PPC upgrade for it and hack 8.6 to work with it?

If you want to use speech, then Yes.
