Back in 2001, I bought an SE that had that mod. There was actually a 3.5" Quantum ProDrive (the older model, not the LPS/ELS) in there along with two floppies--both FDHD as a bonus!! It cost me a whopping $25 at a garage sale and also included a few boxes of disks plus some random Apple III disks and manuals. I actually just sold that bracket on here a few months ago.
There was also an SE I had at one time that had been in a school that had TWO hard drives inside. It was a single floppy model but had a hard drive mounted in the upper slot (where a second floppy would go)...and also one mounted vertically in the area where the expansion card should be. There were cables in to accommodate both power and SCSI connection. I ultimately stripped that one down for parts and I'm pretty sure I still have that SCSI cable somewhere. Thankfully the SE has a pretty hearty power supply. I know one drive was a Mirror and I think the other was a ProDrive LPS.
Hmm...I should dig out that cable and try that with a pair of BlueSCSIs...just for the story.
