What're you using your Mac Pro for?

Trashcans are really cheap right now. It's almost impossible to determine if a D500 or D700 from pictures; most D700 would have been replaced by Apple and if you get a screenshot of it working, chances are it's good and with fan software control running things a little faster it should be OK long term. I've got a 2018 dated Mac Pro with D700, needed one for parts was just sheer luck to get it.

Mostly overheating and failing vram. That enclosure needed to run the fan a bit faster for d700 cards as stock, some suggested.

Is there any truth to running the 6,1s sideways? I've seen a couple of mentions while looking around online that they flow air better that way.
