Bumping this topic... if anyone hasn't already, add the Asus RT-AX88U (Pro) to the list of routers that handles AppleTalk (DDP) over Wi-Fi. I suspect this will include a wide range of Asus routers in that family. Asus routers run on Linux, of course. I installed the Asuswrt-Merlin alternate firmware, though I suspect the base build supports this without issue. I can't find any specific setting in LAN or Wireless that could govern it, so it must just work.
I have two BlueSCSI v2 devices with the PicoW option board, and was completely surprised to find that both my Macintosh SE and Classic II can see all the zones on #GlobalTalk running solely off the Wi-Fi from the card (emulated DaynaPort SCSI Ethernet). Before that, I had been connecting them with PhoneNET LocalTalk adapters through my Macintosh LC III.
My Apple Internet Router is a virtual Quadra 800 running inside UTM (thank you @europlus aka WozFest from Sydney for building those).
