Village Tronic MP850 3dfx?

Hello All.

I recently bought myelf a Power Mac 6500/275

I had a spare sonnet so bumped it up to a G3 400Mhz 512kb cache

I also have a village tronic MP850 graphics card which works wonderfully but when I look it up online some websites are calling it a 3dfx voodoo banshee but I cannot find any 3dfx drivers for it. Also, if i remember correctly when I bought it many many moons ago it was also sold to me has a mac 3dfx card.

My question is, is it a 3dfx card is the powermac 6500 a suitable system for it and where can I get the 3dfx drivers?

Drivers are available here :

The high end Village Tronic cards were 3dfx Voodoo cards, but having not owned one I forget which one is which model. Hang on to it, they're getting harder to get. It should work well in the 6500 I'd expect :)

just as a small footnote, MP850 is basically also MP750 as the two were identical except for differing vram size

and you're not the only one asking as it would seem unfortunately

but anyhow as for that card in a 6500 mm well I mean if you're willingly to bypass the apple video-in stuffs then yeah its probably a reasonable dedicated graphic card indeed (I only mention that because I need to note that you have to use the onboard graphic to be able to record/watch videos because the video is being overlaid onto the onboard monitor output .. you can't expect it to overlay onto a non-onboard output otherwise! you know..)

[edit to phipli: haha hm thats weird in a funny way as I had tried MP850, MP750, banshee, 3dfx, villagetronic .. and there was no hit on any of these keywords .. oh well I'll leave my original post uneddited nevertheless]

Cheers guys, so I have already downloaded them drivers, but there is still no mention of 3dfx and the games like Tomb Raider II don't see it has a 3dfx card
