Today I had some time to kill, waiting for my car to be diagnosed and there happende to be a thrift store on the other side of the street.
There I found a Canon bc-02 cartridge from 1999. Still in sealed package. 2,5 euro so I thought, let's give it a go. At home there were no signs of it being dried out so I popped it in the printer. Turned on the beige G3, MacOS 9.2.2 and sent the first simpletext document to the print spooler. The print went out perfectly, super nice, no tinkering needed. See attachment for result.
