Rebuilding an Apple Multiple Scan 20" display

If the problem is just the anti-glare film, that would be awesome! I will try to remove it anyway. Thanks for the link @KURB, that is very useful!
I once removed the antiglare film from an AppleVision 1710 after it had become damaged. I suspect yours will be the same but as the linked article says, it will be obvious once you have the CRT removed from the bezel.

It’s quite good to know you can actually get replacement film of this sort.

Thanks for the feedback @croissantking. I read the article and unfortunately, the CRT Database page lists this monitor's glare film as non removable: https://crtdatabase.com/crts/apple/apple-multiple-scan-20-m1283

I had some hope but I guess I am out of luck here. It seems I am back at the point of having to remove the entire glass to fix the issue... Or try to find a replacement tube.

I strongly encourage you to do your own hands-on investigation. That site lists the AppleVision 850 as having a non-removable glare film as well when I know for a fact it is removeable.

It’s also not made fully clear what their own definition of removable is.

A lot of these types of sites have misleading or incorrect info so while they’re useful as a general reference they must be fact checked before basing important decisions on them.

I will need to re-open the monitor because the picture decided to flicker like crazy. I believe that it needs a full recapping.

Do you still have the stand? If so, could you share some measurements, or even just a few pictures? I kept the ADB board and I plan to 3D print a new stand. I have started modeling it based on photos that I found on the Internet.

Thanks anyway!
Yes i can measure it and take pics i do not know if i will have any more time today though but maybe. If not then i will get them up by tomorrow sometime.

Thank you so much @KURB ! There is no rush, I still have so much to do on this monitor! You can take all the time you need. I will share the 3D model if I am happy with the result so you could take that opportunity to recreate yours as well.
