Power management system for Macintosh Portable

I have many questions. Nowhere to get answers except here. Engineers please help!

I have a LCD mod, and as Campbellashe has shown us, the Power management of the Portable is not the finest. I want to know, Do you need to supply Power to the board. Or can you just charge the battery? Do you have to have power in the board, or can you just plug power into the battery? I think yes. But need to know for certain.

Also, what voltage do you supply to the header on the board that takes the battery power input? Thanks!

I put this circuit together, it would support up to 15 amps, not including however much you draw from the 12V and each of the voltage regulators are rated at 6 amps. One makes 6.3V for the Portable itself, the other 2 make 5v and 3.3v.


I still haven't added berg or other connectors to the schematic, but I have the voltage regulation down to a letter!
 
I like your thoughts. Just be careful As it is 35 years old. I’m trying to incorporate potential power regulation for an LCD into my PMGR chip replacement— probably version two. Will see where I get with version one!!

Update!

Power regulation (finalized) and found the connectors I want to use for Power Output! I just can't seem to make my mind up on how many Power Output Headers to put on the board. Probably not that many...
 
Over on TD they pointed out that the capacitors on the output capacitor was 100nF. I meant for it to be 100uF and have 1 capacitor instead of 4, but then they pointed out that the 4 capacitors were probably used instead of 1 for heat dissipation... Whoops.
