I think that fan would cool it, but I don't have 110v mains and I don't think it would fit in the iBook case

keep the connector; I picked up a couple of fans that look to have the same screw hole locations, but they come with USB connectors on the end.

Yeah, same with batteries, never thrown out the connector.
