Operation : PewPew! A new game for 68040 and soon... 68030

A few screenshots from the next update...

Someone suggested I add a top Apple MenuBar, which was a great idea as it allows me a clean, 'mac-ish' way for the player to adjust the settings of the game to fit their specific hardware. Great idea! 🄳

The game uses the the machine's gestalt ID to try and set the default settings it (I) think work best for that class of CPU.
You know your machine best, so you are in control!
You can turn the music, soundFX, text scroller, on & off as well as setting the specific number of drawn screen objects, like the total number of background stars, asteroids, particles fro explosions, etc...
Not only for performance, but also difficulty.

I'm also going to start linking to the self-hosted .SIT version of the game instead of posting the .SIT directly here.
That way, if anything were to need to be removed/updated, I have direct access to the hosted file. šŸ’¾

Any other ideas, suggestions etc.. PLEASE post or PM me!

I chose to do the classy thing and not specifically name blame since, as you mentioned, the specific archive or package it came from is unknown
I don't think naming the site is slander given they are repositories of other people's uploaded files, I expect there to be the odd bad file - but it would help to work out what file it came from. It should be easy enough by virus checking the files in your download folder, or checking the list of infected files and seeing which is the first one you ran.

You can check when you got hit by checking the creation date on the 666 init that got created in your System Folder - that will give you to the second the time you first ran an infected application. What did you download that day? Even if it is a list of 20 things I'm willing to sit and go through them and check them individually if you don't have time.
