There's a well known limitation with the Beige G3 DT where low-profile DIMMs must be used, as standard sized ones bump up against the fan cage. Well, I've found a simple but practical way around the limitation. I cut the fan guard out and installed a finger guard inside the PSU itself, between the fan and the housing. This causes the fan to stand off a bit higher inside the PSU, but there's enough clearance for that. I think the end result is tidy and allows the use of slightly taller DIMMs.
