Hi, thanks for the link. I've finally managed to have a go at testing it, but it doesn't see this drive either. When you try any of the file options for copying or formatting (the only ones I've tried so far), it first scans for SCSI IDs, and in my case, with the 340MB HD that used to work, it doesn't show any. Hmm. I don't think I've killed it with my own SCSI code, because it sounds like it's starting up normally with typical start up clicks and also when I power the PowerBook, it makes a few more clicking noises as though it's being accessed. However, of course, Mac OS 8 doesn't see it either (which I don't expect it to as I think I overwrote the driver).
