I'm sorry for late reply. I pulled out this Classic II and changed the ROMs as seen in the picture from @marcelv
But that changed nothing, black screen, no chime.
I resoldered the caps again - nothing.
After that I desoldered the EGRET again and found out that when I touch pin 2 of the EGRET with my solder iron (doesn't matter if cold or warm tip) the screen turns on (blank screen, no question mark, no pointer). Could that be a bad EGRET?
Again, with my working rev. A board (four ROMs) the Classic II works great.
