Photos of the SCSI board would certainly be helpful. Preferably well-lit and with legible part numbers

The Pic I took isn't very good, but I was able to see an NCR 5380 SCSI Chip on it.

The 53C80 datasheet is of no use here - countless things use that, in many different implementations, some of them compatible with cheap SCSI disk emulators, some not.
Anyway, as @Phipli said, if this is a mission-critical device, i.e. something still used in a medical setting, hobby use SDEs are not suitable anyway.
