I have the opportunity to acquire one of these, but can find very little info on it. I believe it's a daisy wheel printer, but it has a keyboard with it. The owner claims to have used it with his Mac Plus back when both were new. Anyone have experience with these?

I have enough Python experience to know that this project would make me crazy. I was hoping someone else had already sorted it out and packaged it up.

I assumed one LToUDP or something like that would work, but I’m not clear on whether it supports EtherTalk. I wouldn’t want to send every Ethernet frame on the network to the other network - just the ones relevant to EtherTalk. Maybe that’s trivial, but I don’t know how to do it.

I know. I’m asking the best way to do that.

I can’t tell from this thread if someone actually managed to open the case of the real MacRecorder. I have one that needs repair. I’m not sure if it’s potted in there, or if the case opens up somehow.

Bummer. I’ll find another solution. Probably just solder wires to the analog board.

I also cannot find the J12 passthrough board in the shop. I see a breakout board.

Does anyone know what the DIP settings are/mean on the Etherprint-T? Or better yet, have a manual? On the PCB, the switches are labeled RANGE and PHASE. Thanks.

I bought a non-working M0131. I have a couple good superdrives. Is it a simple swap? I have seen some discussion about pin 9 changing voltages between Mac models. I'd be using it with a SE/30 or IIci.

There are many of these brackets for the SE/30, but I couldn't find one with a DB15 and MicroSD slot. Here's mine in case it's useful: https://www.printables.com/model/1673529-macintosh-se30-db15-microsd-bracket Both the connector and SD slot are recessed within the case to protect them.

I really don’t know. I kind of took the easy way out. Like you, I only had an Apple silicon machine available to me and wasn’t sure how to create a thumb drive.
