The point is that you don't need any tools to remove anything except on the optional Nubus adapter or the drive sleds. Perhaps Apple expected frequent parts replacements for this model or they wanted to make assembly efficient and low cost. Of course after 30+ years parts might be a bit stuck in...
well I want gigabit Ethernet on my Mac SE.
You don't need that much space on a 68k Mac anyway. Files are small, programs are small. Volume maximum limits are low. Use multiple SCSI drives or Apple Shares from Servers with large volumes to load stuff. Perhaps large ATA drives with shares from a...
Does the name of this even need to be followed with "Talk"? Doesn't Talk represent a protocol? This is far more than a protocol. It's more like a comprehensive suite of several protocols in one, also able to run on more than just one platform. I can see why you went with Omni and because Omni...

I use one of those external SCSI cases with a CD ROM drive in it. The case that is meant to sit underneath the Mac SE. It's just enough height to raise it up enough to work on the compacts directly.

Does $40 CAD = cash after delivery? Never heard of CAD...
Probably a dumb question but did you remember to install a vram SIMM? Maybe swap out the one from the LC II. I started my performa once without any vram and it chimed and booted but I couldn’t see anything.
This is remarkable, if not down right ingenious. I'll give this a try when I get some time. I only have a 1 GB RAM stick to use in my G4 Mac Mini. Will it accept that much RAM? I'm saving this forum page in case the place goes down again.
