USB-C powered 8"display for the Apple IIc with STL files and build plan

Thanks! Yes, hence the slight gap either side. But since the LCD is much lighter than the CRT, there's enough friction even with the knobs not fully tightened. Yeah... as you can see in the pic, even the original CRT stand color is not a match for this //c. My end goal is to use this with my...

USB-C powered 8"display for the Apple IIc with STL files and build plan

Update... thanks to an inspiring link to a //c iPad mount sent to me by @wottle... I've been able to blend - well, hack in my slicer! - the two together and make a test print of the //c CRT stand mount I had in my head. Since I've not disassembled the LCD yet, I used a handy 5 1/4" diskette box...

USB-C powered 8"display for the Apple IIc with STL files and build plan

So I decided to do a little hacking about on the bezel... sorry @ArjenCNX, hope you won't mind! First I cut off most of the bezel in my slicer, and then removed about 9.5mm from both ends of the 'mount'. Here's what it came to before slicing. ...then printed... ...then a test fit...

USB-C powered 8"display for the Apple IIc with STL files and build plan

Following up on this... I do think it would be possible without too much hassle. Here are some pictures of the original stand components... First, the part that mounts onto the bottom of the CRT : As you can see, its just over 121mm wide. Looking at your front bezel, that equivalent part...

Tokamac Nubus card? Need help identifying

Timing could have been better. I was simply trying to offer the OP a recoup on whatever he'd sunk into it. As I said, I've regularly loaned out or passed on rare items to fuel the reversing efforts, and being on the other side of the pond (tho I also have a US address) makes it easier (and more...

Tokamac Nubus card? Need help identifying

Perhaps you should consider that many of my 'private collection' items have been loaned to other MLAers - including one you've mentioned - for this very purpose. From what I've read, it's a modified IIfx logic board that is what's needed here for reversing.

Tokamac Nubus card? Need help identifying

Perhaps a dumb question, but you know what they say about that... @Capt_Redbeard - you say you acquired the card in an auction... was there a Mac IIfx also in that auction at the same time - or previously on that auction site? Which auction site / provider was it?

That's a 'glass'(?) capacitor, not a resistor. If you move the broken bits, you see the C36 silkscreen.

PowerMac G5 won‘t boot After shutdown

Many years ago, I got into restoring broken / unresponsive G5 PMs when they were still making reasonable £s 2nd hand. Many had failed with similar symptoms to the above, so it wasn't a bad earner getting them going again and moving on for a small profit. What I discovered (as did the PM G5...
