I have a PB 1400 that I keep without a battery to avoid leaks. However, the PRAM battery is present and had been replaced. Sometimes I turn it on with the power supply, so the internal battery also recharges.
Recently I noticed when I unplug it from the power supply, after a while, the steady...
@3lectr1cPPC one last question, do you think this problem of having the extra layer also exists with passive matrix B&W panels or does it only apply to LCD colours?
Now it's clear to me, obviously when removing the old film I eliminated everything including the extra layer and this explains why they now they look the same. Ok at this point all that remains is to get FSTN film and try. I appreciated your help, thank you very much!

Hi everyone, I'm trying to restoring a vinegar syndrome victim: a PB 190cs LCD display. After various readings and videos i decided to replace the polarizing films on the LCD of a PB190cs. So I tried with 2 films from Aliexpress with angles of 135° for the back and 45° for the front. I read...

Don't know about the label, perhaps it has to do with the Italian market?
Hi, I've got a "packaged new from factory" board replacement for Powerbook 190.
Already tested and it works.
Question: should I recap its electrolytics capacitors before to finally mount it in the PB190?
Does anyone have a checkpoints map for the PB190 logic board? I need some checkpoints near the on-board power module in order to check the expected voltage on the motherboard for a suspected problem on the onboard power module.
Thanks
