Drivers for Lapis ProColorServer 24 PDS/30 for the SE/30

My memory is saying the same thing. Certainly other cards for other buses called ProColorServer 24 are not accelerated.

Programmable Diagnostic ROM Idea for Mac "Post Codes"

Given the Test Manager's propensity to write test results to PRAM, I was wondering idly if that could be hijacked, but that unfortunately gets rather platform specific rather quickly and ends up relying on one having a working Egret in later machines. So that route is probably not one worth...

Ah yeah, this is a good idea. Bloody Tantalums.

    Wiki Review: Capacitor Replacement

I wonder if it might be a good thing to revisit the blanket advice to use tantalums - solid polymer capacitors are more available now than they used to be and they have the profound advantage of not catching fire if you install them wrong, along with not containing conflict minerals

access ntp time server in os x 10.1

at that point I might recommend using a tiny portable ntpdate type implementation rather than a full ntpd, to be honest: most hobbyist uses don't really need anything more than "set time once at startup". There's a number of these. This is mine (or perhaps I should say it's David Lettier's...

is it worth doing the takky mod in 2026?

Six of the sods have recently passed through my hands, none have been brittle. Those are from the UK and Japan; I cannot speak for other climates.

    A thread for packing lists

@NJRoadfan, @Fizzbinn - I missed your posts somehow, apologies - that's a good trove, thankyou! I don't know why I find these so fascinating @theletter0xff - thank you also, but in a rather more timely fashion

is it worth doing the takky mod in 2026?

If you think it'd be good or fun, go for it! You can make the takky mod very neat if you put a bit of effort into it, and colour classics aren't rare enough (yet) to get all precious over. As @Byrd notes it does require some work on the plastics and shields, and that can be hard to make look...

    Getting started

Good choice. The SE isn't, on its own, the most exciting machine in the world but it's solid, reliable and easy to repair if it breaks. A very good start.

    Durosity’s conquests and collection

The most fun option here, though rather rare, is the sixty eight thousand SCSI card, I think it was called the SCSI Bolt. Schematics and stuff are out there, if anyone wants an extremely niche reloaded type project...

    EtherTalk routing across Tailscale

Yeah, I can see all that. Fun! Never thought about using MQTT as a generic multicast packet transport before but why not, I guess... Well, you basically have three options here. You have IP connectivity and you wish to run AppleTalk over it. As @NJRoadfan correctly says, the most "correct"...
