When you say "value" - do you mean, you don't think M-series/Apple Silicon is interesting, or lifecycle, or, are prices lower than you're expecting, or is this purely about after-the-fact internal flexibility upgrades like RAM/SSD?
I'd expect minimum +5 years from today of additional life out of any M-series Mac so far, but you have to buy what you want (e.g. 16g/512g) up front
