@finkmac always liked that specific pizza box design, unique boot sound and the fact it’s one of the very first PPCs. Plus the possibility of a DOS card seems fun down the line.

good reasons. i don't actually have anything with that case design, iirc the rear case clips are a particular weak point.
also the DOS compatible one works in a sort of horrifying way. the DOS card is Quadra PDS... the DOS riser adapts 040 PDS to PowerPC PDS... I've heard that said DOS card will perform better in a quadra as it's not doing this conversion...

It’s a shame that my only quadra is an 840AV and doesn’t have PDS, a design oversight for sure. Maybe I should trade for an 800… but then, the video in/out features are cool.

Looking for a PM6100 for someone too 
I did pull out my DOS card from my 6100 (didn't have DOS Compatible label somehow) because of the heat.
Unfortunately it only fitted in my Quadra 900/950 without case modding and it doesn't work properly I don't know why, these card are not the easiest to work with.
