That's one, super-compressed Big Mess 'O' Wires! So, I'm guessing this is a compact Mac supporting 32-bit mode (so 68020 or higher?) with a modified ROM containing a compressed disk image (System 6.0.8)? V good!

It’s my SE/30! I haven’t got as far as customising the disk image, but I should as 7.1 does not boot with 1MB RAM! I’ve been using 6.0.3 on a diskette but I need the original ROM installed for that. I think I should upgrade to 2MB RAM :)

A little while ago, I read through a number of the Apple design docs for System 7 (i.e. the 'Blue' docs). They tried hard to make System 7 work in 1MB, using a far more complex Segment manager that tracked return addresses and stack usage so that applications could return to purged code segments!!!

That sounds like an absolute nightmare. Not surprised that that failed...
