Columbo's Mystery Capers full version available?

This is a reminder to myself to grab my Newton and Fortune 500 card next weekend and try an extraction... currently the Newton and my classic Mac are on separate sides of the Sierra Nevada :)

    MacISO Extract

Not my project, but I ran across this: https://github.com/kouta-kun/maciso-extract Any thoughts from Netatalk experts here?

    Recapping a NeXT Cube

If you can wait till VCF West in early August, there's usually a very nice gentleman who does live recapping with video cameras set up. Not sure exactly how to get on the list, but showing up early and politely asking might work...

    Netatalk 4.0 - Future-proofing Apple File Sharing

Testing 4.5.0 on a brand-new Pi5 with no problems so far... I always forget to do the sudo afppasswd -c; sudo afppasswd -a [username] dance, but that's on me...

    Question about the Macintosh Portable

I don't think the screen is a major area of concern, at least not compared with problems around the power adaptor, lead-acid battery, motherboard capacitors, and hybrid module. I'd focus on whether the right power adaptor is included, to start with.

    Netatalk: changing “Workstation”

Belated note to say thanks for this -- it works great! :)

    Getting a PowerBook 1400 Networked

There is also the rare Ethernet card that uses a unique-to-the-1400 slot: https://68kmla.org/bb/threads/powerbook-1400-internal-farallon-ethernet-drivers.30383/ I made sure I got one of these in 1997, not realizing how useful it would be...

What are the common failure points on the AV14?

One thing that’s a big failure point is the plastics! Have you figures out the gentlest way to disassemble them? I have one in pieces that I was hoping to use to learn how to open my intact example…

    Netatalk 4.0 - Future-proofing Apple File Sharing

That (a guide) would be really fantastic, actually... I've made this kind of thing work in the past but it's always felt a bit cobbled-together...

Scans of Macintosh 128k, 512k, 512ke and Plus manuals

Interesting as well to see this early mouse with a "Lisa"-style plug and no thumbscrews:

Scans of Macintosh 128k, 512k, 512ke and Plus manuals

Yes, those scans were high-quality enough to see at least two examples of a Twiggy Mac!

What's inside an original [10100] Cayman Gatorbox?

So I had this replacement 3.6v cell ready to go: ...when I thought, hmm — the GatorBox’s circuit board looks like it was designed to accommodate a coin cell: Although a little trim is required on the plastic holder to accommodate JP05, it does indeed fit: I think this’ll result in 37%...

040 socket pin part number? Or, Saving a Sonnet QuadDoubler BST-50FB

I believe this to be a Sonnet BST-50FB (100/50Mhz Quadra/Centris 660AV, 700, 900). The part number on the board (obscured by the cable) is 660-700 REV.1. I acquired it knowing there would be pin damage... ...and pin damage there is: I'd like to try de-soldering the individual pin...

    Netatalk 4.0 - Future-proofing Apple File Sharing

Apologies that I don't quite know whether to post this in the TashTalk thread, the TashRouter thread, or here. I have a TashTalk hat running on the Raspberry Pi that runs the latest version of Netatalk, 4.3.2. Would it be best practice to continue to use the tap and python script method...
