I got me this conductive pen from ebay..I hope this will work on my 270c keyboard layers.. so, you just draw with this pen over the surface of the copper traces?

I love my mechanical Cherry keyboard in my Erazer Beast x40 gaming laptop, at first I was a bit concerned about the typing sounds but in the meantime I must say I really prefer it.. This Duo keyboard looks very promising.

at the moment I'm at the 270c, really lovely 68k Mac, I like it even more than my 190c, the 270c apparently was the only one of the 68k Duos that has an internal 68882 FPU in it..yesterday I fired up the Duo Dock, its working, too..kinda enerving to cable it all up with other bulky SCSI decives...

picked this up locally, a nice older couple, both were working on Macs since the 90s. a lot of boxes with goodies.. Powerbook Duo 230 ( vinegar display), working Powerbook Duo 270c, working Powerbook Duo 2300, all with power adapters, two micro Duo Docks with floppy disk drives and cables, data...

maybe a power problem, have you checked the power supply?

I had to open my revived 190 after the hinge cracked last time I opened it two days ago.. I disassembled it completely, opened the display and removed the two metal hinges. They were almost completely stuck due to its age, then I pulled the two pieces apart and cleaned the stuff spring/ shim...

have you checked if the powerboard is ok, eg replaced/compared it with a known working one?
