Looking for old versions of MacGhostView

Hi, I'm looking for older versions of MacGhostView, especially versions of the 1.x and 2.x series. Unfortunately they seem to have vanished from the Internet and also archive.org hasn't archived the binaries and just the webpage from back then. Can anyone help out? With kind regards, Egon

Unable to get Sonnet Presto 040 clone to work on my Color Classic

It's now working with the 1.3.1 driver under System 6. The reason why the driver crashes under System 6 is pointed out in the README (darn, I really should read them). The system extension "Easy Access" which is installed by default on all System 6 installations is not compatible with the...

3D Printed housing for external rear fan

Hi, has maybe someone already designed a 3D printable enclosure for a external fan attached to the PDS slot cover for the pizza box design Macs? I'm looking for one as I run a TokaMac LC in my LC and want to provide sufficient airflow to cool it properly. With kind regards, Egon

Unable to get Sonnet Presto 040 clone to work on my Color Classic

@DrGonzo 1.3.1 drivers attached Had anyone success in getting the TokaMac LC working with System 6.0.8? The only combination I could get to work is 7.1 with Driver 1.3.1, anything else results in weird behavior like crashing the system at boot or showing problems initializing the card.

    Macintosh LC and PurpleRAM

Hi, i got a Macintosh LC in excellent condition but with just 4 MB RAM and want to upgrade to 10 MB. I intend to buy PurpleRAM Sticks from Siliconinsider (https://www.tindie.com/products/siliconinsider/purpleram-16mb-4mb-x-4-30-pin-dram-simm-kit/) as I already have his SCSIknife and MacBatt -...

    Quadra 605 - J13 fan connector

After doing a little more research on the topic by reading through the technical reference manual, i highly assume that the third pin on J13 is used as an assertion to increase the fan speed (/FANSPEED, Pin 31 on the PDS). As the signal is active high and regular 3 pin fans report their speed on...

    Quadra 605 - J13 fan connector

Hi, i intend to replace the stock fan of my Quadra 605 with a more silent one (Gelid Silent 6, 60x60x15 mm). The connector used to power the fan is J13 on the logic board and has three pins, but only two of them are connected and they are +12V (topmost pin, next to the silk screening J13) and...

Mac II - broken RAM simm clips

Hi Josh, thanks for your reply, using Hotglue was also my first idea - did that and it worked flawless. Also tried the 3D printed brackets from PotatoFi and just would like to let the community know that they also work on a Mac II without any issues, in case anyone needs them too...

Mac II - broken RAM simm clips

Hi, as most of clips which holds the 30-pin SIMMs in place brake off by just looking at them, this has also happened to the previous owner of the Mac II logic board i'm currently working on. Has anyone a good working fix on how to secure the SIMMs in place when these tiny nibbles broke away...

Mac II batteries: Replace with what?

Ah, thanks for the hint with the ones you linked on ebay, thought that they all have the exact same spacing! Will go with them then, seems to be the most "professional" solution.

Mac II batteries: Replace with what?

The issue i see with those 1/2 AA holders on the II board is the spacing. I already have some Keystone 108 1/2 AA holders and they have a spacing of 29.5 mm between their solder legs, the II has a spacing of 33 mm.

Mac II batteries: Replace with what?

Hi, i'm currently reworking a old Mac II logic board and think about how to best replace the two 1/2 AA batteries. How have you solved this? The most simple idea to me was to just wire and solder double battery clips on it and just use regular AA batteries in series: This will give the...

    System 7.1: Change Keyboard Layout?

Interestingly, on a fresh, german 7.1 the suitcase only contains a few audio files and no keyboard maps. So i assume that they are hardcoded into some binary ... if anyone happens to have a suitable german keyboard layout for 7.1 i would be glad to have it too :-)
