10/11 pt monospaced fonts for System 6

The tool @gsteemso mentioned is called "BitFont". It allows converting any font renderable on the system to be converted to a bitmap font. So it's best to run it on a system with installed true type capabilities.

10/11 pt monospaced fonts for System 6

Hi, does anyone know if there exists a decent 10 or 11 pt monospaced font for use with System 6? The only fonts that I can find (and already have) are Monaco, Hell's Programmer and Courier, but they are just available in 9 and 12 pt. As I'm doing some recreational programming on my Plus and my...

Macintosh II - powers on immediately

Can anyone please tell me if a voltage output of 2.8V on UB2, Pin 3 is normal when batteries are inserted, but the logicboard is otherwise don't connected. I measure from B2 negative to the UB2 Pin 3. And is it normal that when measuring from B1 negative to UB2 Pin 3 that there is no voltage...

Macintosh II - powers on immediately

Hi, I have a Macintosh II here that I got as DOA. Recapped and cleaned everything, looks good so far. However, one issue remains: The device powers on as soon as voltage is supplied to the power supply. Also Soft-Power-Off does not work. Any hints on what I can check first? With kind...

Macintosh IIsi - speaker very quiet

The area around the capacitors looks good - the board has been recapped before the caps became leaky: With headphones attached, at least the different volumes level work as expected. However, it's slightly noise, somewhat like the noise you hear when making a mobile phone call.

Macintosh IIsi - speaker very quiet

Tried the following now: 1. Cleaned the contacts on both, the logic board and the speaker assembly unit ==> no change in behavior (just two levels: Quiet and Silent) 2. Replaced the entire speaker unit with a known good one ==> no change So my assumption is that something on the logic board is...

    Micro-Cap II for Macintosh

Hi, is anyone in posession of a copy of Micro-Cap II for Macintosh? Since the company behind it has dissolved and released the software as freeware (available here), perhaps someone who still has a copy could share it. With kind regards, Egon

IIci etc. ATX to 10pin Adapter

@Melkhior Thanks for the hint, I now ordered the PCBs from JLCPCB and the parts from Digikey. As I only want to keep 2 of them later on, I will put 3 of them up for trading as soon as I finished soldering them.

IIci etc. ATX to 10pin Adapter

Hi, I intend to build one of those ATX converters from this thread to resurrect a IIsi which is missing it's power supply completely. But I'm slightly confused of all the different versions floating around here, so I don't know exactly which one I should build and which ones fits my needs. What...

Help with identifying Nubus Network card

@Durosity I can confirm that the drivers you gave the link work for my card, just brought my IIci online

Macintosh IIsi - speaker very quiet

Thanks, I try that. But just out of curiosity, if the contacts are corroded and therefore have a higher resistance, shouldn't there be more levels than just quiet and silent?

Macintosh IIsi - speaker very quiet

Hi, the speaker of my IIsi shows a interesting behavior: It's very quiet, no matter which level I set in the control panel. Essentially there are only two states: very quiet for all levels >0, and completely silent (as expected) for 0. Any ideas what could be the reason for this or which...
