I too believe @cheesestraws is correct here. On IIci's, only way to bypass RAM check is to use a customer ROM SIMM like BMOW, etc. I have 128MB on my IIci and spent the money on the ROM to bypass the check as it took an eternity to cold boot.

I could be wring but I don't think its a cap issue if the mouse is working as well as a few keys. Do you have another ADB KB you can try and use to see if that one works? I have a feeling the failure after the recap is just a coincidence. Keep us posted.
