Got it. I got a bit lost on GitHub and missed the "Sponsor link" stuff however I can't find the "instructions" as you mentioned regarding the password and resedit. I can only find the Readme in the .sit archive of the installer and I can't find any mention of this.
I am trying to setup MiniVNC on my LC475 that is acting as an Apple Internet Router for GlobalTalk access. I currently have screen sharing set up via Timbuktu but that requires another classic Mac. I want to access the LC475 from a modern machine so I have installed MiniVNC. I have the client...
I have an LC630 DOS Compatible running System 7.6.1 and Windows 95 on the DOS side. I have the Mac side connected to GlobalTalk no problem including my own Netatalk A2SERVER on my home network. This is done via ethernet with an Apple CommSlot II ethernet card and Apple Internet Router 3 running...
The standard Mac drivers didn’t work and I did look on the original installer and there wasn’t anything. However the files I mentioned that have broken links are the exact files you have attached. Thank you I will give them a go today.
I have just dug out an old super Mac POC clone. It is a 603e/180. Weirdly it had a 169 MHz processor on and it is socketed which is cool. My big problem is that it has a Kingston KNE40 PCI Ethernet card in it. I can’t find a driver. There is a reference to it on a few sites but the links are...
The two functions I used the Gatorboxes for was as a LocalTalk to ethernet bridge and as a tunnel to connect two sites. AIR does the same thing and gives me access to GlobalTalk at the same time so I don't really need the GatorBoxes. I do plan to do some speed testing to see if the Gatorboxes...
In the days before GlobalTalk I used quite successfully two Cayman GatorBoxes to connect my home office to my man cave a few kilometers away. It was a closed network but worked well. Now with all the GlobalTalk fun I have LC475s and AIR 3.0 connecting the two sites and also to the rest of...
A few weeks ago I came across someone who has setup a service whereby you could send them your SE/30 logic board and they would transfer everything over to a recreated SE/30 PCB and replace anything that has failed (caps etc).
I now can’t find the site. Has anyone seen this?
Unfortunately iSync wants me to launch Palm Desktop 4.0 or higher and do a "First Sync". I have and it still gives the same error. Pilot Bridge connected to the LifeDrive and then hung on "Identifying User" and I have the correct Hotsync name. Oh well. Time to shelves this one for a while...
Syncing directing into iCal would be fine as I have the data on the LifeDrive as that is how I got the data into Palm Desktop in the first place. It would be great if you could find the Palm isync plugin. Sync Buddy also look interesting.
I am trying to resurrect some old palm backups and get the data into a more modern format. I am using a PowerBook G4 12” with Mac OS 10.4.11. I have hit a bit of a wall with Palm Desktop 4.2.1. It will happily import .ics files but won’t export them. To get around this I am trying to get iSync...
