All I can say bout the 20" Cinema Display is.....Holy Electrolytics, Batman!
Thanks to @BinaryGrind and @AEChadwick , my 1400 is packed up and on its way with me to work for some night fun after a nearly half-year sitting waiting to be fixed. Complete with new power adapter, she is good to go!
