Yellow Dog Linux 2.3 found!

I've been wanting to get YDL 2.3 or 3.0 for a long time so I could try it out on my PowerMac 6100. But I couldn't find the CD images anywhere. :( I finally found a site with the iso for YDL 2.3! :rambo:

It hosts ISOs for 2.0 through 2.3.

http://fr.rpmfind.net/linux/yellowdog/iso/

I also found this site which hosts ISOs for 4.0 and 4.1 (as well as 5.0)

http://ftp.mirror.sptel.com.au/pub/yellowdog/iso/

Install guides can be found here:

http://www.yellowdoglinux.com/support/installation/archives/

http://www.ydl.net/support/solutions/ydl_2.x/

MD5SUMS for YDL 2.0 - 2.3

Nubus 2.4 kernels for YDL and Debian.

I'm currently downloading YDL 2.3. Even with DSL, it's going to take 2-3 hours to download because the server is slow. Once it's done I could probably burn some extras if anyone is interested.

Edit: weird. The download said it was about 650MB. but It stopped or acted like it's finished at 173MB... Going to burn on a CD-RW to see if it really is finished or if I need to download again...

It's done downloading now. Found out it would download faster if I used different computer. :p Let you know my progress when I try it on my 6100. :D

I don't remember if I tried booting from the disc or not... I did install MkLinux on it though. (Which is also RedHat based.)
