A couple Apple II items...
1) A copy of Flight Simulator II

-J
Oh, man... I need an Apple II copy of Flight Simulator. I have every version that is labeled "Microsoft Flight Simulator" for DOS/Windows and Mac, but none of the very earliest Apple ones that were still labeled SubLOGIC or BAO...

The parts IIgs works. Either a bad PS or a bad power switch. Put the other power supply in and was greeted with the usual *dernk* startup chime. Computer even has a properly working BRAM battery (same thing as a Mac's PRAM battery, just called a BRAM battery in the IIgs world). So, yeah, TechKnight, looks like it's that. The rest of the machine seems to be fine. Reinstalled the GS-RAM Plus and moved the SoftCard over. The chassis of both machines is in the same cosmetic condition, so I just swapped lids between the two. The other machine will be receiving a ROM 3 board and donating its Rev. A board to a future //e case for the Stealth GS build.

I've also conquested 33 1MB RAM chips for the GS-RAM Plus. Should have 6MB installed when they arrive.

Been a while... Probably time for some updates. Got rid of everything 68K a few years back - just wasn't using those machines at the time, partly because another hobby was occupying the space in here. IIgs was rehomed to another 68kMLA member, /// went on semi-permanent loan to James1095. I've also had a couple A1181 machines since the original one that Ian traded me, and an A1175 MBP. Then, there was the ][+ that I got from John Keoni Morris a few years back. Sold that machine in 2017 or 2018, since I'd used it once.

Still have the //e I conquested in 2005, albeit without any floppy drives, and only with the RAMWorks III memory card, a mouse card, and a disk ][ card, plus the Color Monitor //e. Mac-wise, have mcdermd's old G3/400 with G4 plastics on it, a 2008 Mac Pro that needs a replacement clip for the heatsink that goes on the PCI bus controller chip, and a couple MBP machines that came from mcdermd. A parts A1260, and a mid-2010 A1286 that's my daily driver. Using the 200GB drive that was in the A1260 as the drive for the 1286 currently.

There will be some additions soon. Stay tuned.

Conquested a disk ][ for the //e. Got it from the eBay seller commanderscott, who's local to me. While I was at his shop, recycled the A1260, along with some other parts and modems that we no longer needed.

In addition to the disk ][, I also picked up an Appleworks reference manual for 31 cents from the same seller about a week or two after I picked up the drive.

Got the C650 from @agg24 a couple days ago. Since then, I've conquested a Macintosh SE manual, a M2980 keyboard (will have to do until I get a better keyboard), two ADB mice (one wedgie, and one II version), and a working DEC-branded Quantum 230MB hard drive for the C650.

Sony MacView LX Mac -> VGA adapter
Quadra 650 nameplate - yes, the C650 is going to become a Q650
M0115 keyboard (expected to be here on Saturday)
Extra-long T15 screwdriver bit to replace the one that must've gone away with my last classic Mac a few years back.
Soon to arrive, the 33MHz 68040 that @superlions16 sold me and the CD-ROM bezel from @taddy. Also have five of the MeowToast CR2032 adapters on their way from @Geekybit...

Still need to hunt down a Sony MP-F75W drive for the C650, and a tray load CD-ROM drive for the same machine with mounting rails.

The photo of the computers loaded in the back of our old Volvo 245 wagon... Found that I still had it on my hard drive.

Ah, the utility of the 240 wagon. My p80 V70XC had also hauled its share of vintage computer equipment.

They work well. Even a 242 does the job in a pinch... I think most of the stuff shown in that 245 would've fit in my 242, even though the rear seat doesn't fold down.

Anyway, got the MeowToast adapters today. Keyboard is expected to arrive tomorrow. Considering there was a lot of snow and ice in Indiana, I wouldn't be surprised if it comes Monday instead.

Still any left? LOL

My grandparents had 240 sedans and those were absolute tanks. I believe they both went past 20 years until they bought new cars.

The ice was absolutely dreadful in my area. I cannot help but think of this when an ice storm emerges:

lol, all of the machines have been rehomed. Went through a purge around 2017-2018, where pretty much everything except my daily driver Mac (my old Mac Pro) and my //e from 2005 remained. I probably have some parts from one or two of them left over, though.

Nice. My daily driver is an '82 242 Turbo sedan.

lol, I believe it.

A couple Science Toolkit Master Module software packages for the Apple II series. One I'm keeping, the other is going to a former 68kMLA member (James1095). Arrived on Monday from Portland. Also finally got the M0115 keyboard - due to the winter weather in the midwest, it took an extra four days to get here (arrived yesterday).

IIci off of OfferUp in the PDX area for $60. Friend of mine down there grabbed it for me yesterday. Tom'w, I'm expecting a floppy drive bracket for the Centris 650, that way I can grab any Sony MP-F75W drive and mount it in place. Saturday, I meet @tafkar at RE-PC in Tukwila to pick up his old Plus.

The Plus has landed. Also picked up an extra power cord, Apple-branded SCSI cable, an internal 50-pin SCSI cable for when I fit the G3 with a SCSI card, and a USB floppy drive, at RE-PC while I was waiting to meet up with Jim.

Since then, received the 68040 chip from @k24a1, CD-ROM bezel from @taddy, a IIvx/C650 style floppy drive bracket (same style as what's used in the SE and SE/30 machines), and another long T15 screwdriver bit. Have a Sony MP-F75W mechanism in the same style bracket coming from Canada, the two CD-ROM drive rails I need for the C650 from someone in Fort Collins, CO, an Adaptec 2940UW SCSI card from the east coast, and will be picking up an SE tomorrow from someone off of CL. They've two. A Superdrive and a FDHD machine. FDHD is priced higher. Will see which one is in better condition and, if it's the FDHD, offer $90 for it instead of $100. Both machines are apparently dead. We'll see.

Turns out the Superdrive SE works, as I just discovered when I attached a power cord to it and hit the power switch here at home. Boots up to System 6.0.8. Monitor's image looks good, too. Power supply may need to be recapped, since there is a little bit of the usual dead fish odor coming from inside the case. Going to pop the bucket off this evening and replace the battery with one of the meowTOAST adapters I have with a fresh CR2032 installed. Do need to source a second floppy drive (would use the one that's coming, but that's earmarked for the Centris 650) for it and the aftermarket hard drive bracket that sits on top of the second drive.

Reconquested a couple items from various places in the house. A Sony CDU-561 caddy load 2x CD-ROM drive (AppleCD 300i) and a SCSI cable with terminator that works with the 2940UW in my G3. Installed the CDU-561 in the C650 for now. Am bidding on a CD 600i, which, if I get it, will be replacing said drive.

The CDU-561 installed. Due to it being a caddy loader, the bezel tends to pucker out a bit. Basically a temporary install until I can get the matching drive for the bezel.
