well, a G4 is not really what I consider, 300 Mhz would be better, so maybe I'll try that..

at the moment there is a very rare G4 Sonnet Wallstreet upgrade card on ebay canada, not cheap though

G4, RandomeDamage already did that G4 mod?

from your experiences, is there actually a wireless card that actually works under Os9 AND OsX in a Wallstreet PDQ under any circumstances?
I had an Orinoco gold that worked under OS9 but I didn't test it under OSX ( was a 1400c), for OS X there are multiple alternative cards that work natively.
Of course theres a generation of tech between wireless b and g, WEP vs WAP etc..the best chart I found was this one ( on timemachine)..
and there are many cards listed for OS9 and OSX?

NIGHT STALKER
I've only tried the first release "bugfixed" first release of OSX, so can't say anything about X compatibility. I remain in the OS9 bubble of my twenty year old Graphics and dongle protected CAD/CAM software.

G4 is likely overkill for Wallstreet-Pismo generations, a higher bus multiplier G3 would be useful.

Has anyone got a G4 upgraded Pismo?

ok, I got an old Cisco Aironet 350 PCMCIA wlan card and thanks to the original great software uploaded at MG, mobile internet works now, under Os9.1 and also in OsX 10.4.8..not bad, a liitle slow at 11 Mbit/s but what the heck.
I tried a full day to get a Proxim Orinoco gold, but a newer, Atheros based one and it was just plain incompatible.
Another cheap card, a pcmcia Siemens Gigaset 45 was instantly recognised as AE with full 54 Mbit/s under Tiger.
