I just snagged what looks like a complete set. This one has me excited. It's a desktop wallpaper program that works with both System 6 and 7. It expands the patterns and color selection from the original 8x8 pixels to multiple 32x32 blocks for up to 128x128 pixels, allowing for more interesting patterns.
The nifty part is that I won a completely different auction by coincidence that had a large stack of subscription disks + an upgrade disk for Wallpaper. The upgrade disk is a simple screensaver that utilizes your Wallpaper patterns. I haven't seen this backed up anywhere, so I'm glad I got it.
Furthermore, how many people do you guys think actually did the full subscription disk package? I'm guessing these are pretty rare. According to the manual, the subscription was $25 a year for 2 disks. So this collection cost them $75 in 1990s dollars, not including the upgrade disk.
Yeah, they're just a collection of silly background patterns that anyone could make, but I really like seeing all these original disks together. Definitely a very nice addition to my collection.
