Virus/Malware/Ransomware Software for Older Systems?

On some of my older systems, I had stuff like MacScan and ClamXav, which are probably no longer updated given that I think both have now gone to subscription models. Don't know if they support updating older versions anymore anyway.

Anyway, the point is that I am wondering if there is anything for scanning older systems just to make sure they haven't gotten anything. Or, in the case of older Mac OS X systems, maybe you just make a disk image and scan the disk image on a current system? For classic Macs, I imagine you just need to get a hold of old anti-viral software to check because it's kind of doubtful anyone is making new System 6/7/8/9 virii or malware.

Probably Norton Antivirus 9 (OS X version) for older OS X and Antivirus 9 (Classic version) MacOS 8/9, and then whatever version of Symantec Antivirus will run on System 6/7.

The problem might be getting ahold of the virus definitions for those respective versions. You used to download them from Symantec's BBS, or send out for a floppy disk, but they obviously don't do that anymore. Archive.org also didn't archive their FTP.

I did find SAM 4.x definitions at AppleFritter: https://www.applefritter.com/node/14820

So that's a good start.
