Source for MC68882FN40A Chips

I have brought them form Utsource before, I can't say weather on not they where actually 40mhz parts or some lesser part that has been remarked but I can say they did work fine at 33mhz

I'll also say you don't need the 40mhz part, your CII is only going to run it at 16mhz as pretty much any 68882 you can get your hands on will work just fine :)

I’m awaiting one on eBay; they’re not like remarked CPUs and cheaply obtained so don’t think you’ll have too many issues.

Well… so far all the 68882s I got from various sellers on eBay were relabeled… even local sources. Most of them work fine at 40/50MHz but not all of them. So them not being CPUs doesn’t actually make it any better :/

Hey everyone, I'd like to try my hand at building one of the Classic II FPU cards from https://github.com/dymczykm/classic_ii_fpu. Does anyone have a legitimate source for the MC68882FN40A chips listed in the BOM or should I try rolling the dice on an eBay order of a few from overseas?
I'm actually the author of this project and I can say I had good luck with this seller: https://www.ebay.com/itm/361103442882
So far all 68882 worked happily at 40 MHz (not that it matters much, it's marginally faster than the 16 MHz bus speed as @max1zzz pointed out).

Good to know, thank you for the all the input, I put in an order and am crossing my fingers. Moldy, thank you for putting together this project. I'm really excited to solder up some boards and get them in my Classic II.
