No Classic OS is especially stable, but you can still pick the best Classic OS just like you can pick the best Windows 9x. We should have a "what's your favourite Classic OS" vote
Jaguar?! That's really slow isn't it, it was before they really optimised OS X from Panther onwards. Maybe on a G5 it's still fast, but something newer would be a lot betterjaguar on a G5 blazing fast as well
No 68k requires System 6 though (they can all run 7, except the 128/512 which I don't think can run 6 either), so it's not really a 68k thing. I always associate 7 with 68ks, as that's what they were always running when you used to see them in use. And retro's not necessarily better, that's like saying Windows 3.0 is better than Windows 95 just because it's olderYou people are crazy! Remember, even though we accept PowerPC now, it's still the 68k Macintosh Liberation Army, and we have to respect our elders!
System 6 Forever, IMHO. It's more retro than Mac OS 7-9 could ever wish to be.
