After all this time owning and using these, I've never taken one in low quality mode (32 pictures on the 150) until today... and surprisingly, it's not that bad.

This is an older image of a diner I took earlier this year but wanted to experiment with AI post processing to see what a difference it could make and here is the result:

and another one of an overhead bus:

Processed Graffiti shot turns out really nice

i hate to threadjack but my quicktake won't turn on with batteries. what should i do?
Find a replacement. Unless you’re talking about the 200, in which case I think there’s a fuse in them that can be replaced (soldered IIRC) but I haven’t had to do that with mine yet. Both cameras are insanely difficult to reassemble.

What a crazy cool, post apocalyptic looking photo!

That wasn't my intention, but I can surely see that now 😅

Just thinking, were or are the battery terminals corroded with battery acid?

Yeah, battery terminals most likely, but my two cents here.... My QT150 often showed low battery, even with fresh cells. I believe it was a contact issue was with the power switch (ie. the front slider). I took the top cover off (as little as I could as it indeed looks tricky to go any further) and managed to reach the switch. Some contact cleaner and exercising the switch couple of times seems to have helped the issue.

Don't know if the switch in question can go all bad but perhaps be worth of a shot!

Since it’s officially MARCHintosh, it was time for me to pull out the camera crew.

This picture is trash though...

Fantastic what can be done within the limits of that hardware. And it shows that the photographer is more important than the camera.

On another note : I am trying some things with different graphics formats, and have collected dozens of example-files. But I have not been able to find any file in the *.qtk format on the web. Is someone willing to post one or two of those in this topic ?

Hi! A very interesting topic. Great. I also have pictures with a similar camera, but a little older - Kodak 260, it seems. I was interested in enlarging some of your pictures in the Gigapixel AI program - it turned out pretty well :) HazeManGraffitiDude-very_compressed-scale-4_00x-gigapixel.jpgImage_4_-_9_26_21-very_compressed-scale-4_00x-gigapixel.JPEG

Oh, that's neat! The enlarged ones look suprisingly good, yet... strange: both sharp and yet... I don't know, hazy?

О, это аккуратно! Увеличенные смотрятся на удивление хорошо, но... странно: и резко, и все же... не знаю, туманно?

This program has several zoom options + settings in each option. I just took the automatic. In other variants, you can make sharper or play with the settings. You can add a little noise in Photoshop for sharpness. In any case, the result is much better than simple scaling in Photoshop - tested)

I was there in 2019! It looked about the same as this photo.

I think I remember walking past that McDonald's sign, as it looks familiar. Any way to know what street this photo was taken at?

*goes to check*

Hmm, I actually don't remember now if it was this specific McDonald's I saw, but I am pretty sure I saw the one on the east side of Eighth Avenue, between W43rd and W44th. Was it this one? Who knows.... There's another one over on W45th past Seventh, but I don't remember specifically if I walked there....

Generally when working with music software configurations having a ton of settings that can be altered, it can be hard to keep track of.

The idea hit me the other night -- to use the QuickTake 200 and my thermal printer to quickly snap and print layout information specific to a song I'm working on should I need a backup or quick reference since there are thousands of settings. Works amazingly well!

The image is very legible and the size printout is just right for storing away should I ever need it again.

Thought it was fun and wanted to share!

Happy Independence Day to all in the states!

Quicktake 150, high quality, no flash and about a mile away from the show.
