Second SCSI drive not automatically mounted in 7.0.1

I have multiple SCSI drives on a Macintosh SE. When running 6.0.8, any second or third (non-booting) drive is mounted and appears on the desktop once the computer has booted.

When running 7.0.1, only the booting drive appears on the desktop. I can use PMount to mount the second drive and then it appears on the desktop. A message says that the device driver was not started, hence why the drive was not mounted during start-up.

How do I enable the device driver so that any non-booting drive is automatically mounted in my 7.0.1 OS?

PS: Very strangely, on my Macintosh SE, the second drive is not mounted. On Basilisk II, the same second drive is automatically mounted. Because it works in 6.0.8 on the real hardware, it's not a setting in in the ROM but there is an impact of the ROM on that behavior.
