SE, Accelerator, and the aftermarket HDD.

So in the main today I recevied my first SE. The case needs a lot help, but the main reason I bought it was what showed up upon boot. "Radius Accerator 25". I got it, cracked it open to check everything out. Board is good and clean, and everything seems to work, but the FDD can be a little problematic at times.

Basicly, I want to reinstall System 7 on the hard drive, but I've run into 3 problems. 1. HDD is an aftermarket one, so I need a patched version of HD SC Setup. I remeber reading how to make it, but I can't find the article. 2. I do have System 7.0 on 800k disks, but I need to make sure I have them all. Can someone with antoher set confirm I have all the disks? I'll list them below. Plus, my 800k Disk Tools disk is corrupt. 3. The accelerator drivers. Its seems the machine will boot fine without them, but to take full advantage, I just need to run the image from the Mac Driver Musuem. Is this true?

Thanks everyone. I hope to make this machine into a very productive SE.

Thanks for the help unity. The install disks seem to work so I'll try that later on.

I've run into another problem. For whatever reason, the Mac Driver Museum's link to the software keep directing me to macdrivermuseum.com when their new website is .net. Anyone here have the drivers?

Are about talking about RadiusWare? The drivers for the Accelerator? I looked, the floppy seems to be missing from the Radius16 envelope.

Yes that one. I don't want to wipe the drive without it.

Also, I was reading that to avoid crashes, I would need a 3rd party formatting tool. Is this true or will HD SC Setup work?

I've ALWAYS used HDT, so I don't know, but it got me through the Radius16, Rocket and is still getting me through the Sonnet Eras with a problems only very rarely and nothing that DiskWarrior couldn't Fix right up that I can think of offhand.

Guess I'll try HD SC Setup. We'll see how it goes. I think the drive was formatted with another utility as the HDDs pic is different.

Thanks to Unknown_K I got the software. The program is very finicky though. It seems to actually sense that it is not the original Radius disk, so I finally just drug the extensions into the Extensions folder. Is there any app for 7.0 to make sure it is completely functional and the computer is using the 020 and co-processor?
