Screensaver for a 128k?

Says it needs System 6 or System 7 128k could not use System 6 or 7.

"This is a Desk Accessory that lives in the System 6 suitcase, or System 7 Apple Menu Items"
That’s misleading. There is no such thing as “the System 6 suitcase”. A suitcase is just a file holding a DA, which has been standard since the first version of the Font/DA mover circa 1985. You don’t need System 6 to install a DA from a suitcase … Just the Font/DA mover.

Stars is just a DA, you can install it in any Mac System file going back to v1.0 and I do believe (from personal memory) it runs on a 128k.

This is the lightest weight screen saver that I know of: https://macintoshgarden.org/apps/moire
Definitely runs on System 6… not sure if the 2.22 version will work on older System versions.
I love Moire and used it back in the late 80s/90s. I didn't notice the 2.22 version, so thank you for pointing it out! It had a CDEV>INIT utility, which allowed me to create an INIT from the CDEV.

Unfortunately, once copied into my System 3.2 / Mac 512k folder, although I do see it load during startup... nothing happens. There's a short "beep!" just after the Moire icon shows on startup, so maybe it runs into an issue.

Also, I couldn't get the CDEV>INIT app to run on System 3.2, I had to run it on an emulator in System 7.

IDK :(
