I discovered this app via the Macworld System 7 book. I had asked about this very thing a while back, wondering if it was even possible. Low and behold, there already existed a utility.
The problem I kept running into is that System 7 would update all my StuffIt icons to the OS 9 style icons because there was a newer version on one of my archive disks. I hate seeing crappy renderings of OS 9 icons on my System 7. So I was wondering if there was a way to force the Mac to continue using the older icons. Well, Save A BNDL does exactly that. You just drag & drop whatever App you want, and it'll update the DB file with that version of the BNDL.
Now all my StuffIt icons are period appropriate again. This had been bugging the hell out of me for at least a couple years.
Turns out it was on Gryphel, so that was an easy download.
