Hello!
I have a Radius Accelerator 16 for Mac Plus and I would need the v 3.0 rom file. Does anyone have one? It would be very important because mine is bad and I can’t find it uploaded anywhere on the internet.

Damn, I don’t think I knew this was a rare thing. I bought one of these NIB four years ago and it had the v3 ROM but I sold it …. In other words I am useless to you here. But they do exist in the wild!

I think you were the one who also published the SE rom files. Although unfortunately not good for me, it was the noble act of uploading it to posterity. I hope someone can help me because all my hopes are on this site!

Any chance you can get in touch with the buyer?

@Erik Can you take a bunch of really good shots from different angles and take measurements of that chip clip for me?

The Radius guys were key Macintosh Developers, I wonder if that Radius16/Plus ROM contains, supersedes or patches the Plus ROM? His Steveness was long gone by then, the DTP revolution was in full swing and saving the ass of the Macintosh. The Plus was the machine that industry was waiting for and Apple's stop gap offering during SE development.

So I'm wondering if any bits of the crown jewels lie therein? That would handily explain its incompatibility with Radius16/SE ROM.

It would be a really good idea to contact her and ask for it. It connects directly to the processor, but of course I'll take a picture when I take it out sometime because of the ruins

Hi @Erik I would love to help but it was years ago and I don’t have the transaction record anymore. (I just checked.) Sorry I can’t be more useful.
