Quadra 700 PSU Disassembly

Hi everyone,

I’m attempting to install a Noctua fan in my Q700’s PSU, but it seems near impossible to remove it. This is sadly not the PSU with the two plastic tabs to remove the fan I’ve seen on most Quadra’s. I have removed every screw visible on the PSU and confirmed there are none hiding under the sticker, but it seems as each metal piece is connected to another. Has anyone dissembled one of these before? I’ve included pictures of the PSU.

Thanks

I've got this exact PSU in my Quadra 700 and hate it! I recently opened my up to do the Noctua fan mod. In the photo on the left, you can see it has some plastic bits. First you need to take out that sort of U-shaped plastic bit (you'll need to squeeze it and it'll slide out to the left). After that, you'll then need to push those plastic leg things down through the holes that they're popping up through (you'll need to squeeze the fins to get them down through the holes). Its a pain. After that, it should start coming apart.
