PSU recap or modern replacement?

Hi compact folx,
I have an SE I'm working on. The thing I'm kinda-sorta dreading is recapping the analog board. I have the parts all ready, I just have to find some time and the motivation to start. JDW's YT vids are super helpful.

Next up I'm looking at the PSU. I don't know that I'm interested in recapping the PSU myself...it seems cramped and hard to work on! Is there anyone who can recap the PSU for me or take my PSU as a core deposit for a refurbed one? The other option I'd love to get some advice on is whether or not a modern PSU is worth the hassle...seems like it might be good to get something more efficient and modern in there for longevity. Again, I'd prefer to pay someone to wire it up for me.

Thanks for your guidance!!

Bit far out, am from Belgium, EU :)

It's a rather big community here, so you'll likely find someone closer...
I'v never had/felt the need for a PSU recap, somehow on my machines (mainly SE's) they always seem to work.

Analog is another story, recapped most of them. Wobbly screen and all sorts of weird stuff.

I just did my first recapping on a Mac SE(/00) analog board, revision C. I rate myself as a hobbyist-level board reworker. I was a little nervous about this, as the system was working almost perfectly before I started. But it wasn't too hard, and the results are well worth it.

Advice to other hobbyist-level recappers: watch out for the pair of caps C2 and C25: they are close together. I mistook the '+' for C2 to be for C25, so I soldered C25 in backwards. I caught this on review before gluing everything back down, thank goodness. There's nothing wrong with the silkscreen - just given my point of view at that moment, the correct '+' for C25 was probably behind my own hand while I placed the new cap.

I did not open the PSU, though. I can't offer any advice there.

Does the PSU already function properly? I have recapped a few SE and SE/30 Sony PSUs. If it works, I could do it. Is it Sony or Aztek?
