ProFormance3 Graphics Card Issues

I have two performance3 graphics cards but when I hook them up to my normal dell monitor that I use for testing literally everything without any issues I get an error on my display saying Cannot Display This Video Mode Optimum Resolution 1280x1024.

Any ideas how to get around this issue? I'm stumped both cards are doing the same thing and I've no idea why, at one point when I first got them I think they worked but now I just get this error totally unsure how to get around it.

If they have worked with this monitor before, that's curious. For a bit more information: Which machine/OS? Do you have the drivers? Were the cards recently reinstalled? Maybe a PRAM reset would help. I might have the right drivers on one of my drives if you need them.

Out of curiosity, are these cards the version with the SGI 1600sw connector?

Have you reset the PRAM? This resets settings including screen resolution and errant refresh rates

BTW finally discovered that if I just wait long enough then it will dump me to the desktop, after that it seems to be able to save the correct resolution and then will usually boot showing the welcome to mac and extensions loading etc. But if this screen does appear simply having patience and waiting will result in dropping into the desktop once it is fully booted. Just wanted to update my thread as I know often we forget to come back and update after we have resolved our issues.
