I've been working on putting together a stable SE/30 for a week or more. It's got:
- A recapped motherboard
- A SCSI2SD v5.0a with a 16GB card in it and 5 2GB partitions
- A Stratos PDS / Cache adapter
- A Daystar 68030 @50Mhz
- A Radius color pivot card
I had System 7.5.5 installed on the second partition, and 7.5.3 installed on the third, and then I installed 7.1 on the first partition. Prior to installing 7.1. I could boot from either of the two partitions that has an OS on them.
Every since I installed 7.1 though, it will ONLY boot from the first partition. When I open the startup drive control panel, all the volumes are selected. I click in an empty space and select none and then select one and close it. If I reopen it again, it again has all of them selected. If I try to reboot, it always boots from the 7.1 partition.
I tried booting off a 7.1 floppy and it does the same thing.
Both system folders on the other two partitions are still "blessed".
I installed Mode32 and turned 32-bit addressing on thinking perhaps that might be related, but there is no difference.
Anyone have any ideas what might be going on? Other than wiping the first partition again from a floppy, I don't know what else to try.
