Been trying to figure out why I keep burning up diode's on PB150 logic boards... The D22 diode right near the input connector. I've been using a PB100 recapped power supply that is 7.5V and 2.0AH.... and it's not working.. I can hear clicking actually in the adapter when I depress the powerbook's power button.. The adapter is fine... I run it perfectly before and after on a PB100. Then I try a PB140/170 7.5v, 3.ah one... and that one seems to finish off the diode... This is perplexing to me... And I've swapped out all the other boards (recapped) to see if possibly one of them was doing it.. The only thing that remained original was the HDD and the floppy drive..
Originally I thought the issue was two of the boards the battery leaked onto the board and ate up a little... things didn't look too good but I'd figure to try anyway.. So today I put in a perfect PB150 logic board and the same thing happened but I didn't completely fry the diode.. it's still in ok condition.. but I know it may have issues internally... so I'd like to replace it...
I have no idea what diode or values to find... This is what the diode says on it from top to bottom:
KW
4J
GI
The other board's diode just has GI and KW.....
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
Thanks!
