Riiiight. As per my conquests thread, it was meant to work and...doesn't. Nothing at all when plugged in. You never get this sort of nonsense from an ImageWriter.
Following the table on page 4.16 of the service manual it seems the power supply is dead. I got through to "5 Connect the multimeter between pin J212-3 on the DC controller PCB and chassis ground. Switch on the printer. Is the voltage about +24 VDC?". The answer was no - it cycles from virtually nothing to a random number somewhere less than 9 volts in time with a soft ticking from the power supply.
AFR Enterprises claim to have it in stock - I've sent an email to see if that's actually the case. But does anyone have any experience with fixing power supplies?
