I don't know what fair is, but with all the original packaging that he/she has, it would likely bring at least some premium on Ebay or other broader market.

It's kind of funny, because I went to a Mac auction in the mid 90s and $700 is about what the Q630/P631 were going for at that auction. My roommate at the time bought one. I think it must have been surplus refurbished machines because there were hundreds in the box.

Still.....$700 for a Performa. Seems quite steep. If he wants to see anything close to that he'd need to take a chance and put it on eBay. I'd be surprised to see it go for that much there as it's not a rare or desirable model. Still....nice complete packaging to be sure.

Someone give me a nice fair number lower than $700 to offer! 🙂

It really comes down to what you are going to do with it. If you are preserving all the pieces, and need the docs etc (I have a few items that like this that I either was lucky enough to get along with the item or paid a premium for, so I get it).

I feel that $350 - $400 is a fair price to offer, and which should not offend the seller. Time is likely on your side, so make the offer and let them know you are available, when they are ready to meet your price and wait it out... or not.

That’s about what the boxes units go for on eBay I’ve seen a few sell for around that despite not being super desirable.

That's pretty amazing. If that is the case, I wonder what my dad's fully original, boxed TAM with all it's parts and accessories is worth...
